Left the dock with a game plan of fishing a totally new area. My target species today was Big Porgies! headed north across the bay going to the T.C grounds as a place to start off. Saw a pod of Albies jumping close to Ambrose channel and casted at them with no luck. Even though I approached them slowly but I think my boat spooked them. Finally made it to the T.C ground and the birds were working with schools of small blues underneath them. Chased them around for awhile and decide to hit the TC ground for porgies. There was nothing but small sea bass there by the thousands! Time to leave. I did some recon and decided to take a ride and I am glad I did. I anchored up in 35 ft of water and it was lights out porgy fishing for a few hours. All nice fish caught on clam. South wind started to pick up and it was time to go back the the barn. It was a beautiful day with real good fishing in a totally new area for me. Tight lines!
