Great day today. My son Nick joined me to do some fishing. We started out with the 1/2 day Fleet on Flynn's Knoll to be greeted by non-stop wakes from boats. We got out of there fast! Not my idea of fishing! Decided to fish the leeward of Sandy Hook to get out of the 10-15kt S-E wind. Conditions where good with the wind and tide together. Fished a gradual drop off that went from 10 to 25ft and slugged away 17''- 17.5" Fluke. We had good action even although no keepers. Once again 5" Gulp with fresh spearing did the trick! Get out there if you can. The fish are biting! Tight lines!
