Well I lost a good man from my circle yesterday and can’t believe it. My Russian brother Andre passed away on a Salmon trip on Ontario the day after his 43rd birthday. I’m in shock! I just don’t get it. This man would give you the shirt off his back and basically had nothing. He was always smiling and ready for a good time. Definitely the life of the party and an all around gentle and kind hearted person. Please say a prayer for my fallen brother! :(

The river is where our adventure started. You got a car from somewhere and locked your keys in it as soon as we met up at the spot. I had to help you break in so we can get to fishing. Delay of game man. We had a lot in common, fishing, camping the outdoors and so much more. Your one of the easiest dudes to get along with and I’m thankful for the adventures we shared together. We had some good times at “The Spot”, that’s for damn sure. The laughs never ended and there was always phenom food and drinks. I’ll never forget you my brother. I shed many tears for you last night and this morning as I’m still in disbelief. We just went camping last weekend. I don’t understand life and I probably never will. You just had a birthday and went out doing what you loved the most, fishing. Man my hands are shaking right now. I can’t, I really can’t. Andrusha Gil I will miss you so much my brother. No way in hell I’ll ever forget your charming smile and laugh. R.I.P. Tight LINEZ in heaven my friend. Please come down and visit us once in a while.

Sorry for your loss. He sounded like a great guy and fishing buddy. It's never easy losing a friend especially a fishing buddy! I'm sure he's fishing that great "Spot" in the sky. The memories remain. Tight Lines!

My condolences to his family, extended family, and friends. Eddie, sorry to hear you lost a great friend. I never personally met Andre. But from all his sharing on these posts, accompanied by the comraderie in the replies from his friends that got to share those great times with him, can tell he was a stand-up dude and will live on in those that cared about him. Sounds like he might have been doing what he loved...I would hope the same for me when it's time for my last cast.

Andre...God Bless. Rest easy brother.

Really sorry to hear about Andre. I'm glad you went camping with him last week. It hurts all the more for that, but the hurt is worth it. You do him a great honor with your words.

wow, so surprised and sorry to hear about this.... only met him in person once on the ice years ago but could tell he'd give the shirt off his back to even a stranger, like you said. let's all catch a few for him!

WOW eddie i can't believe this i met him one time at the state park on the ice he was a cool cat for sure. it sucks to loose a brother of the woods and water but be assured that he is on the golden shores on gods lakes now and we hopefully will end up there as well. glad you got to spend time with him before this happened and at a young age just goes to show you can't take the time you have on the water for granted may he rest in peace. prayers for you and his family...

No way. This is so sad to see. When I first started here on NJFishing, Andre was the first guy to reach out to me and we met up to fish a good number of times. We even rented a boat together and hit Spruce Run to try and win the Pike-a-thon a few years back. We didn't catch any Pike of course, but fishing with Andre was always a blast and got more fun the more Captain he had in him. Sorry for your loss Eddie and this is surely a loss for the NJFishing community. Rest Easy Andre.
