FISHERMEN/Mondays Fishing Report
Much better action today on a couple drops. Plenty of Big Sea Bass & a nice mess of Ling.
Grant took today's pool with a 3 1/2 pound ling.
We are sailing tomorrow Tuesday for the last Bottom trip. Weather looks good with NW 10-15. Last chance to get in on this awesome bite.
Fluke fishing from Wednesday on 7:30am till 2:30pm. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $80.
See you in the AM!

I have been fishing down Atlantic Highlands for over 30 years I always go on the same boat. Today at last minute trip wanted to go for Seabass and my normal boat was going for fluke so I jumped on the Fisherman. Just want to say what a good time I had from the captain to the mates class acts. They make everybody feel like a regular on the boat. Even when I was walking off the boat the mate said enjoy your fish. Thanks for the great time. Dave

This was really great to read. It is the sign of a Captain that truly “gets it”. About 15 years ago, I was fortunate to win a pool on another, unnamed boat. The boat was packed with easily 60-70 fares. When the mate handed me my winnings, it was only $20. Impossible I said…I asked people if they were in the pool. Virtually all that I asked said yes. Furious, I asked the Captain for intervene. He told me it was between me and the mate.
I vowed to never set foot on that boat again. And I haven’t. I always tip mates, even on slow trips. They work hard and depend on tips for survival. But it cuts both ways.
