Hey Gang, First and foremost Happy Fathers Day. It was a gorgeous day to be out on the ocean. We had a good crowd onboard today and left the dock a few minutes early for our trip out to the grounds.
Once we settled up on anchor the fares onboard were swinging nice knuckles over the rail for the first few hours. Made a couple of small adjustments as the day went on but the sea bass slowed up a bit. I decided to make a move and spread two anchors over a wreck in deep water. Once the lines came right we had baseball bat size ling coming over the rails along with a few codfish. Walt Getz from Easton PA won the pool with a nice jersey codfish.
With the dismal fluke reports that have been coming in the Prowler will continue to bottom fishing until further notice. There are still plenty of ling, flounder and some cod to catch until the sea bass fishing opens back up. Don't wait until it's over now is the time to get in on some good fishing! Thanks Captain Jack.

Nice report and good move staying with the wreck fishing instead of fluke. 2 keeper seabass and a bunch of ling is a lot better than catching short fluke all day and coming home with nothing. Tight lines.
