We left at 8:00 with 20 passengers on board with a East North East breeze cooling things down. Capt. Bob turned North and we stopped about halfway up the line (Deal?) and put it on the drift. We had some short action and a few Sea bass mixed in. I was holding bottom with 6 oz for the first few drifts. A few Sea bass were being caught on jigs so I tied on an Ava 47 and got a keeper Sea bass within a couple of minutes. Switched back to a nuclear chicken on a long leader and caught a short fluke and a big Searobin. Saw a lot of shorts and a keeper Fluke come aboard. Around 11:00 I got the bite I was waiting for. The fish pulled drag pretty good. After a while Niko netted a 4-5 lb Fluke for me. We had shots of fish throughout the day. I had 3 short Fluke and a handful of short Sea bass to go with my keepers. It looks like a good weekend to go fishing. The water is in the low 60's. I would like to thank Capt. Bob, Niko, and John for putting in the extra effort to put a catch together.
