Caught a new PB tog last week out of OCMD. 22.7 pounds on a certified scale at the dock.

We tried hard to get her to swim away, but it was not happening. Her carcass is in the dock freezer waiting for the MD biologists to age her.

You might want to look into release devises. I use something called a Shelton device, it gets the fish deep enough so their swim bladder compresses and the fish can swim away. They are available commercially or you can make your own.
