4/9/2021 caught 5 bluegills to 8.5”, 4 pickerel to 17”, 2 white perch to 11” and a 13” white crappie with a 1/32 oz twister tail leadhead jig on 2 lb test line in a 64 degree Central New Jersey lake in the evening. Ultralight fishing is lots of fun.

I gave 10 of the 12 fish to a Muslim for Ramadan and released 2. He said that I was the only American that ever gave him fish. When I returned the next evening, I caught and released 4 black crappies from 10” to 11” , 3 pickerel to 17.5” and 2 bluegills to 8.5” with the same rig. I was very lucky to land 7 pickerel on 2 lb test line without a leader. None of the 21 fish broke my line.
