Been a tough spring for the largemouth as the pickerel fiesta continues. Took all day Saturday hunting for bass and finally, after 2 lakes and 9 hours in my kayak, found the intended species. I'm relatively new to kayak bass fishing - so while an 18 inchers isn't breaking any records by any means, it was exciting as hell to land her, and release her. :D

Same story for me yesterday. I hit up two small ponds, managed a 1+ pound bass out of each on bottom baits. It's going to break wide open any day now.
Nice fish! It's been a tuff spring for me as well. Thank God for the pickerel! lol

Kayak fishing isn’t easy. That’s for sure. That 18 incher is a good one! Way to go man! :D

Caught my first 2021 Central Jersey Piney bass Sunday evening with a 1/8 oz twister tail leadhead jig on 4 lb test line while wading. Fishing for warm water fish in cold water with lures really sucks.
