After 12 months, I finally feel that I can start getting back to a sense of normal.
2020 was different, the fact I have my own boat, I was able to limit who I invited, and still fish. Wife asked me not to go anywhere that there were
people I didn't know. ( After 46 years I have learned enjoy what you have)
No charters, no party boats, limited where I went.

My crew where all friends some going back almost 60 years, that tried to be careful They respected the rules and if they where exposed they took a break.

2021 with the vaccines available, looking forward to fishing with many other old friends, and some new ones. Party boats are in the mix, I miss those lazy days
of just enjoying myself and letting someone else be concerned.

Looking forward to a great season of friends and fish. Henry

nothing changed here except did more freshwater fishing than saltwater due to John selling the boat earlier in the year. I fished more than ever and had a great season. Fished with anyone and everyone that wasn't scared to join haha. It was a great year.

Only thing that changed for me was I did more land based fishing for blues, stripers and fluke as well as started trout fishing again. I did the same (if not more) party boat & open boat trips. In addition to going on my son’s boat.

100% same! Fished more last year than I've ever been able to before and with much fewer other boats on the lakes it was amazing! Party boat fishing and charters all ran as normal and I had a blast. Hope 2021 holds more of the same! Stay home if you're afraid and I'll be out there catching all your fish!

More surf fishing which was a VG year. A LOT more canyon trips because of where the tuna were primarily located this year. Basically, more time to fish :D

Did less trout fishing cause all the spots that are normally not that busy where loaded with fisherman. Salt water was pretty much the same except for the social distancing at the marina. Did no party boat or charter boat fishing due to lack of social distancing on the water.

Nothing changed for me. Fished the same amount, if not more, with the same crew I always have.

Only difference was passing the fuel nozzle thru the plywood wall at the fuel dock in order to social distance.

I actually fished a lot more in 2020.... It was a nice distraction and got me out of the house and the 4 walls that were closing in on me.

Apparently a lot of other people did too and more new people got into fishing as well.

It was kind of scary and touch and go for the Charter/Party boats and Bait and Tackle stores first part of the year but most I talk to had their best year ever!

I'm very thankful for this great sport of ours. It's helped me through some dark times and made good days even better!

Was a tough year emotionally, but I have a new outlook on fishing and my life. It’s called life for a reason and not meant to be perfect. I will never not be a fishermen and fishing in many ways got me through the year for sure. Even though I fished a lot, I feel it’s not about how well we do on an outing or how often we go, but learning to relax, being a better fishermen every trip, and also reflecting on how to be better myself....

I fished more charters than party boats to limit potential exposure. Two day trip to Nantucket didn't allow sleeping on boat bunks, had to steam back to port to stay in hotel,,, slightly more expensive but same amount of time at rail. For 2021 I am vaccinated and look fwd to a record # of trips in my retirement. Already have plans for nj, fla, mass, ri, ny from April thru Togember

2020 was really bad for me; only got down the shore 5 times--fluking once & tuna only 4 times-trips kept getting blown out. This year will be much better.
