Fish ID? [photo]

Caught this off a dock in the Tampa area. Jig tipped with shrimp on a popping cork. Thought it might be a juvenile king mack.?? yellow tail is throwing me off. Toothy mouth. Intersting. First time catch for me.

Looks like a leatherjacket. Be careful with those spines...I got a very painful sting from the first one I caught!

Since no one has chimed in that it's a banded rudderfish, let me be the first. I thought that the ID questions about every saltwater fish on this board always came back as a banded rudderfish. LOL! It's just a matter of time before someone posts a picture of one for ID.
