I read Gerry’s post and the comments about Capt. Chris Hueth passing yesterday and yes, the fishing community lost a great captain and advocate.
But Capt. Chris was more than that – I have known him since he was in grammar school. First, he was fishing on the Lenny with his twin brother Greg and then he was “working the deck” and then he became a captain which he was really proud of, and then he had his own boat the “Big Mohawk” and countless people enjoyed fishing with him.
Yes, he was truly a GREAT fisherman, but he was much more than that. He was a great person & friend who would do anything for you, he was a great husband & father, always making sure that his family was taken care of. I know that his wife Kathy and his kids and his brothers & sisters feel a tremendous loss today. I wish there were something I could say or do to make your grief go away, but I know that is not possible.
I will say that I am a better person for knowing him and having him as a friend. I have lost a friend as has the entire fishing community. To his wife Kathy and his family, you are in my and Marie’s prayers.
GOD BLESS CAPT. CHRIS HUETH and Rest In Peace!
