We had a much improved day today, over the last few. I did not post prior to this because I really didn’t have anything much to say, the fishing was very slow, but today was much improved, a lot more life a lot more keepers we had one angler with four fish, a couple with two and generally fish around the boat, and plenty of short life. The fish all had gold Pigment on them which usually signifies moving fish , either fish that were coming out of the bays ,or coming back in . . Blackfish as most other fish, are somewhat chameleons, and when they move across open bottom they usually turn slightly gold especially on the sides and top so they can’t be seen from above by bigger pelagics . Since the beginning of the season with all the sand eels That were here We were finding sand eels in almost every fish that we cleaned. Blackfish Do eat sand eels and I believe that when that happens the fish will follow the eels off the spots, so hopefully they are starting to return, and a fishing Will improves.
