Chris Sullivan caught this 25 lb 8 oz blackfish yesterday (Sunday) on the same non-sponsor boat on which the current NJ state record blackfish was caught in 2015. The fish was weighed in Cape May on a certified scale. When certified by the State, Chris’ fish will beat the current record by 2 ounces. Chris caught the fish on an acid wrapped Century Pro Togger rod with a Daiwa Saltiga reel borrowed for just one drop from Frank Mihalic.

Congratulations to the angler (s), captain and crew on the catch of a lifetime. You made a lot of white leggers and lobsters happy! Everything has to come together just right the land of fish that size especially a black fish. Congratulations to everyone involved on quite an accomplishment.
