Judging by crowd its no secret there is a good Sandeel bite in Ocean County. Went down Tuesday afternoon and got 6 Bass. On Friday morning I was late to the party and got 1 on my first cast, then the bite shutoff. Friday evening got 2 nice ones at last light nothing in the dark. Saturday I started a couple hours before daybreak and didn't get a touch till it got light. After daybreak I had the golden ticket and lost count after around 15 fish. I could do no wrong and it was one of the best surf sessions I had in some time. Went back this morning same place and caught the skunk.

After getting no hits in > 5 hours of casting lures in my last 2 trips, I caught, tagged and released a striped bass on a yellow Bomber A15 in the Monmouth County surf tonight while casting seven different lures in nearly two and a half hours.

Hey, I was wondering how you were doing. I haven't had any action in the dark lately.

may want to try casting a diamond jig or something that mimics a sandeel

Good advice, Thanks. Here's what I was throwing yesterday. Saw alot of Peanuts and Anchovies in the wash too ,but only the Shad were after them.
