No Christmas Party This Year :(

Some have asked but sorry to say due to regulations here in NJ and common sense, we will not be hosting a Christmas Party this year... Was half thinking of hosting a Zoom meeting but wanted to gauge people's interest before I consider it.

If you're not familiar with Zoom it's pretty simple.... I would send you an invite you'd click on the link at the time of the meeting and as long as your computer has a camera and a microphone you're good... You can even use your phone or tablet.

As far as the format, it would be pretty informal... We'd create a post here where people can suggest a post we all take a look at, or send some of their favorite photos. We'd all grab a beverage of choice and as I go through them sharing my screen for all to see, I could unmute the person who submitted it and let them tell their story...

Can we turn the clocks back to whatever normal is? I’m on the edge currently! I was not on the edge 2 days ago. Going to miss the shenanigans and good times at JJ Bittings! I passed there today on my way home from a job in Carteret. The first vision that popped on my head was Jose and his awesome tshirts and sweatshirts and him going to Facebook live. Cap’n Gerry on the mic welcoming everyone to the party although the mic volume is always too low and we can’t hear Damn thing. I’m going to miss this,,,, so much! Good times!!! Dammit! This sucks so bad.........

I didnt attend last year but I do enjoy the parties. I've won some primo stuff while throwing back suddddddzzzaaaahhhh lol. Perhaps after COVID, when things settle, we do a spring gathering?!?!

I think having a virtual get-together is just going to remind people of how topsy-turvy the world is right now. I think we should pass on it altogether this year. Fortunately, we can all hang out on this website and shoot the sh!t whenever we want!

Well, I kinda figured this would be the case and I agree with a lot of what's been said here. Just another casualty of 2020 I guess, the year that wasn't.
