Thanksgiving weekend is always crowded and this one was no different. Got down well before dawn on Friday and it was slow, managed to land one Bass after first light. Friday evening and night was dead, Saturday morning I got a couple in the dark, after it got light it turned into a Shadfest. Saturday night I had one bite. Sunday I got 4 before first light and at dawn had fish busting Sandeels on the beachlip and got a good bite going with some 30 inch fish in the mix. Had some good people next to me catching also.

Brew great report. Nothing quite like Fall surf fishing. Should be fish around for a while with as mild as the air temperature has been.

The Whiting used to come into the surf chasing sand eels way back when.

We would get them while jigging Mackerel too. Loaded with sand eels. Another great fishery gone.

What's a whiting? Can you catch them around here? Do you need a boat or can you catch them from the surf? Is a whiting anything like a frostfish? ;););):D:D:D
