Spent a few hours drowning crabs on the Pt. Pleasant side of MI. Arrived just after high water slack. Started off using a 3/4 ounce jig. As the tide started to move I bumped up to an ounce and then 1.5 ounces. Action from start to finish. Caught 15 and was able to catch my 1 tog limit. Had several that were just shy of 15 inches. Missed way more than i care to admit. Also dropped what felt like a real good one.

Did spot a few bunker pods and at one point some unknown predator(s) caused them to shower but by the time I tied on a lure to my other rod the pods had gone down. Did make about 12-15 unproductive casts.

And just a FYI, I wasn’t fishing from the rocks/jetty.

Plenty of scattered rocks west of the Jetty. Just need to find some bites and stick to the exact spot until the bites stop.

I caught nothing on my last 4 trips to Manasquan Inlet while casting lures.
