FISHERMEN/Tuesdays Fishing Report
Tried to hustle out this morning knowing we would have a change of tide bite.
First two drifts were good with steady action on keepers & shorts. Breeze came pretty hard with the current and we had to go heavy on the weight. Picked here and there the rest of the day but it never got what I would call good fishing.
Bill V. had three nice keepers including the pool fish at 4.10, Grant was high hook with 4 nice fish along with Tom who also had three. Several guys with two but it certainly wasn't easy.
It's time for my Fall, "Bring a heavier action rod" speech, something that can handle 8-10 ounces and I don't mean an Ugly stick that bends in half to the 4th guide with the weight, while you are telling me how many fish you caught with that rod!! You will loose rigs galore as we can't bounce the sinkers out of the rocks with light tackle....You have been warned once again!
Also for those who still refuse to bring ice, the crew is getting tired of having to toss back some beautiful Sea bass & Fluke at the end of the day because they went bad. If that's going to be the case, please toss them back when you catch them. It's a sin to waste such a delicious creature!!!! Rant is over.
Back at it tomorrow...
