Sunday morning, we had good mackerel fishing with some blues mixed. There were great readings along the bottom with macks mid water. There was plenty of action all day with mackerel and those that fished the bottom had a nice showing of sea bass along with some keeper fluke and shorts that were thrown back. Overall, it was a great day of angling!
Sunday afternoon, we picked away on sea bass and mackerel with a few fluke mixed in. It was a nice night of action and beautiful weather. Our pool winner was Donald Baskerville from Linden, NJ.
Today, we had the best blue fishing day of the season so far! It was old school jigging with plenty of readings and excellent fishing on 3-5 lb blues with either plain, or tailed, ava 27’s & 47’s. Everyone had their limits, with some catching over 30 blues a piece, only keeping their limits! NOW is the time to come and take advantage of this red hot fishing while you still can. During the week there is a lot more room on the boat with smaller crowds.
Our pool winner was David Maccarone from Pennington, NJ.
