The Gambler has had some good fluke fishing this week. Good action with a respectable amount of keepers coming aboard up to 6lbs or so. Some anglers are catching their limits. A few of our afternoons were tough because the South wind came up strong and the drift was too fast. But overall productive and fun fishing.
On our night trips, the action has been exciting. You basically have 3 choices: 1. Drop to the bottom for ling and sea bass.
2. Fish mid water for blues --bigger blues are starting to show up, 3 to 9lbs!
3. Or cast a squid jig beyond the lights for squids.
The Gambler is still only taking 1/3 capacity (30-35 passengers) for your comfort and safety.
Our canyon trips, coming up in September. Still room on these trips. It's been hot and it should be a great fall.
Hope to see you aboard
