Sandy Hook Area Surf Report

sorry for the late report but fished the sandy hook area surf over the weekend and the fishing was... terrible!:( 1 short fluke and a fat sea robin was all i had for several hours time spent sat/sun. this past tropical storm must've sent them deeper because i usually fish there every year around this time of year and usually get a lot more action. plenty of adult bunker pods moving through (some pretty tight to the beach) and was able to snorkel right up to one in about 4 feet of water but it was so murky i could not see them 5 feet in front of me.

Fished just a little south from there late yesterday. I show up to the beach and couldn't see more than 30 yards because of HEAVY dense fog. Feel bad for boaters out there with no radar. I dont think the extreme fog was forecasted. Caught 5 shorts within a 30 min span. The guy next to me was crushing them- he caught about 15 fluke within 2 hours and a few spanish macks.
