Question for fluke pros—what test braid?

Have a nice custom spinning rod and a perfectly maintained penn 706z coffee grinder spinning reel (I love this reel) for bucktailing on charters. It’s time to change the braid. I have 20# test 6# mono equivalent. Use is on charters out of belmar/Brielle for fluke. What test do people prefer?

To get very specific...I like Fins Braid 40g. Super thin...super strong. 25lb test is my fav up to 40 lb test for fishing the rougher stuff and heavier jigs.
The fins is USA made in Kentucky. My 2¢.

Favorite knot to connect shock leader....Alberto knot. hands down.

For bay/river fluking I like #15...and ocean I like use #20.

Try it , you won’t fish anything else .

20 pound with 17 pound Trilene top shot. That way when you get stuck and bust off the 17 goes first.

In fact, the thinner braid is an advantage in the ocean as the diminished coefficient of friction (drag) allows you to use lighter jigs.

See the tackle that the Nantucket fluke junkies use - 20 lb braid in 90 feet of water for 10 lb. fluke. If your knots are strong and line is fresh, 20 lb braid is plenty.

My father caught this black drum this week on 20 lb braid. We were fishing the Townsends Inlet reef.

15lbs bay 20lbs ocean. I've been using Diawa J braid for 3 seasons. Seems 'thinner' than power pro.
