My plan was to hit the beach tossing small metals in search of bluefish and spanish mackerel but during my drive over I received intel saying several spots were void of fish. I was given info on spot that held some mackerel a day or so ago and headed over. Spent an hour casting various metal with no action. I decided to switch gears and head to my inlet fluke spot (I planned ahead and had my rod and fluke tackle in the car. I started fishing with 2.5 hours left of the incoming tide. Had steady almost consistent until I was chased off the water by lightening. Almost every cast produced a bite. When all was said and done I had caught close to 3 dozen with two keepers to 19.5 inches, had several that were short by 1/4 inch or less, a good amount of 17+ inches and 15-17 inches with a few less than 15 in the mix.
