Yesterday morning, we fished on the hills East of Shark River inlet. We read blues and mackerel and picked away at them with some chubb mackerel mixed in. Small plain jigs and teasers worked the best and plain ava 17’s & 27’s also worked great. Later in the day, we fished the mussel beds and rocks for sea bass. There were numerous limits of blues and sea bass today with an occasional fluke. Overall, it was a great day of angling with beautiful weather!
This morning, we had great blue fishing from the start. We fished East of Shark River Inlet again and had good action with nice long drifts. Anglers were able to limit out with plain ava 27’s working the best. We finished the day off with great sea bass fishing along with a few ling mixed in. Another great day was had by all!
*** Due to the weather, this afternoon’s trip has been cancelled. We will resume our fluke and sea bass afternoon trip tomorrow, July 23rd, at 4:30 p.m. See you then! ***
