Caught this little guy the other day. His light stripes went from silver, to white, to almost translucent. Had no teeth so ruled out a sheepshead. Pilot fish? Rudder Fish? Was going to send him to the bottom with a nice sharp owner in him for a big fluke but let him go lol.

Thanks guys!!

Here we go again. It’s been about 2 years since the last post about this fish. Let’s see how long this one goes. In the end.....banded rudder. The water is getting really warm. Expect to see more pictures of tropical and semitropical fish in the weeks to come. Bait seiners will see lots of them. The bait is plentiful so expect to see some unusual trolling catches coming in from the Mud Hole.

I think you're ALL WRONG! It's a Banded Rudderfish. LMAO

Or quite possibly a BANDED RUDDERFISH?

I have no idea.
