Did anyone hear of reports of Dolphin or Shark sighting in Barnegat Bay?

There are dolphins around Coney Island, Sandy Hook and into Raritan Bay. I don't think it's a stretch to expect that they'd be in Barnegat Bay too.

Several years ago while fishing for winter flounder in upper Barnegat Bay, my nephew and I saw a black fin break the water's surface south of the Manalokin bridge, swim about 50 feet and disappear under the water. Since the water was still cool, I checked with a few shark experts who claimed that it was either a great white shark or a Porbeagle shark. Since porbeagle sharks tend to stay offshore, those experts agreed that it was likely a great white shark. While I can't confirm that the sighting was a great white shark, I can confirm that a family of seals were resting on a sandbar north of the bridge. The following week, both the seals and the black fin were GONE.

A great white in 3 feet of water must have been slithering through the sand? They dont come small.
