Same MO as the last few trips. Lots of life everywhere and weed thru the shorts for a few nicer fish. Earle , Knoll , Roamer and Ambrose. Everywhere held something. Had the wife aboard and she’s a bait dragger. Couldn’t keep a killie on the bottom more than a few minutes before she was hooked up.
Like yesterday, white worked best for me. Usual suspects of birds, dogs and clear noses all day. Most bunker I’ve seen in awhile. Acres upon acres.
Help ID this guy. Hit a small plain killie hard. Fragile as hell. Got the hook out within seconds and it gave up the ghost damn quick. Herring? What variety ?

Hickory shad would be my guess.

Great job Duff. You are out often and getting a few each trip. A win win in my book. As far as the ID it looks like fluke strip bait to me since it was dead anyway. Happy 4th

Ditto for me, plenty of action, not many keepers in the same areas. It was good seeing you out there!

Been on Raritan/SH waters for 40+ and it’s the first shad I ever caught. Go figure.

Yeah Dave, stripped it up since it decided to die the second it came aboard.

Good seein ya Jeff. Def beautiful day on the water.

Thanks for the ID boys.
