On our 8 to 2:30 the Gambler has been catching some fluke. Although it hasn't been fast action, the Gambler has been landing some bigger fluke lately. Courtney was with us this weekend and caught a few nice keepers, with her biggest over 5lbs. She also had a few short fluke, sea bass and a couple ling. The fluke action today was a slow pick again but we saw a good percentage of keepers in what we did land. Jose was with us and caught his fluke limit today.

The water has been cold on the bottom, so it seems like traditional fluke rigs and baits are working better than bucktails and gulp right now.

Our Nite Wreckin trips were a little slower this weekend action-wise but they were mostly bigger fish. The guys that worked at it did pretty well overall.

There are some bluefish showing up under our night lights for anyone who wants to try for them. The best would probably be a two ounce jig, preferably with a white tail, cast way from boat and retrieved at a moderate rate. Lots of fun with a spinning outfit --just don't over-hand cast.

On July 1st, the Gambler will begin our traditional 1/2 day trips, leaving at 8AM and returning by 12:30 and from 2PM till 6:30

We are also going to add Thursday nights back unto our Nite Wreckin trips starting July 2nd.

Looking forward to seeing you aboard
