Sounds like it's effective immediately.

Anyone wishing to understand the history of George's Banks and utter devastation by the commercial fishing industry leading to the development of the Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument, read the attached article.

Won't be long before they're drilling for oil there as well.

Trump or Biden......we'd be better off with a ticket in November with Mo and Larry.

His admin has been rolling back conservation/environmental rules at a record clip, and the pandemic hasn't slowed him down one bit.

Presidential proclamations are beyond the purview of congress, that's why Obama used that vehicle to create the "monument" in the first place.

I think the pandemic has actually allowed this administration to do more "under the radar"

These rollbacks are going to be regrettable for a long time while some may profit initially it wont be those that appreciate the environment. It sucks

Doesnt take a genius to recognize how quickly nature cleaned up without the mass of human interference for the last 8-10 weeks.

I thought this was a fishing site? I could give two Shits about your political opinion. People always give there political views on this site. Why is this subject any different?

Yeah it's a fishing site, so when a rollback on regulations affect a certain declining fish stock, it's apropos for the OP to mention it here for discussion.

Yet if this thread does get removed, please don't PM me (again).

Nothing political about his comment. He did roll back many conservation and environmental rules!
