I dont post often, but I felt the need to. So I went on my first ever Tog trip yesterday on the Norma KIII out of Point Pleasant. Let me first say that Tog are not easy. I was able to catch one keeper (first one ever) and a bunch of shorts. Which brings me to the boat and mates. This was my first time on the Norma K and they are top notch, from the Captain on down.
For a novice Tog fisherman, the mates were outstanding. There were no stupid questions and they were very patient. Due to their advice i was able to boat my keeper and others that were just under the mark. I highly recommend this boat.
Second. Ive been fishing my whole life, but over the last 2 years I've been really trying to get serious about my surf fishing. This year I had my best surf season ever. Caught more fish and different species from the surf than I ever have. I owe a lot of my success to the good people at the tackle shops ive visited, Grumpys, Murphy's Hook House, Tackle Box, Fisherman's Supply. And also to the people I've met on the beach who were kind enough to offer up advice. Thank You!
Can't wait for 2020. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
