If you read my last thread https://www.njfishing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111271, you'd know I was back in NJ for Thanksgiving and got to spend Black Friday at one of my old spots fishing for stripers. I had a couple bloodworms left and a few days later I went to another old spot of mine.

This time I went to downtown Bayonne and fishes the Kill van Kull. It was a cold one. Low 30s with rain turning into sleet and hail. Lasted a couple hours and caught a bunch of fish. Unfortunately the size was a bit smaller than what I would've liked. However, it was nice to see how many juvenile stripers are around the area. Mixed in were also a couple white perch.

All things considered it was a great day. I'm attaching some pictures below as well as a video from the day. Hope you enjoy it.

I enjoyed this as well as your other video Alan.
I too am a a product of the Long Docks, Global, Brady's dock, etc... etc.....
Have not fished there in a few years. Next time you're back drop me a PM
and we'll wet some lines and afterwards grab a pizza and a cold one or two.
Tight lines, & Merry Christmas to all.

I don't know about pie, but for donuts and cookies you can't beat Judickies.

The D'Angelo brothers at one time owned 3 taverns with the best thin crust pizzas in Bayonne & perhaps all of NJ.
The Venice, owned by Vinny, Patsy D's and Charlie D's places were outstanding.
They're all gone now but my go to pizza joints whenever I am back there are:
Pompei Pizza on 22nd and Broadway.
The Starting Point ( old Cavanaugh's Tavern ) 1st street and Avenue A.

Second Alan's comment on Judicke's bakery donuts 34th & Broadway.
Tight lines all.

Sunrise had the BEST thin crust in the Bayonne/Jersey City area with Ilventos in JC #2.

San Vito in Bayonne & Pompei are the top pizza joints in Bayonne now IMHO

X3 on Judick’s

Have a nephew raised in Bayonne, now lives in AZ and he goes to Pompei whenever he comes back for a visit.
Still think Naples had great pizza. Was at 43rd and Broadway.
Henry's still has great kielbasa! 488 Ave C.

Forgot about the Sunrise. Great pizza and antipasto.
Have not been there since they sold many years ago.
SanVito's, Naples, Joe's on 46th. All great food.
I am kinda iced in today. You guys have me salivating.
May have to visit Bayonne friends this weekend.
