My only free day to fish this week was yesterday, so I got out of work at 3 and fished Monmouth County from 5:00-8:15. Conditions weren't on my side as the water was a bit discolored from the recent storm, it was also pretty much dead low tide. No fish landed. I threw a variety of darker colored plugs, some lighter ones, with teaser and without, but no takers.
Regardless, beautiful night on the beach. Saw 2 shooting stars. Cool to be on the beach when there's snow down. Might try again next week if I can get the time. Tight lines!

Thanks for the report. The night bite has been tough lately. I have been getting some at first and last light but on and off. I got on a very good bite Saturday morning then got skunked Saturday night. Black Friday was very crowded and when I caught a Bass the claim jumpers and muggers swarmed in on me and I would move to where they had just left and catch one.

Caught, tagged and released one at Manasquan this evening. Probably my last one for this year.

Last trip out i fished before sunrise into the morning and did pretty well (for me anyways, 4 bass and a shad) but I've only had one productive night bite this season unfortunately!

Nice job man! I'll probably go one more time, one night after work next week, before I switch my main focus over to trout for the winter.
