left the dock at 6:30 saturday morning out of point judith.took a 45 minute ride
and anchored up.very very slow fishing for the first two hours.capt says we are staying put and waiting them out.man was that the right call.about 30 minutes after the pep talk all hell broke lose.there we 6 of us on the boat capt and mate included and we had 5 on at a time many times.it was an all out slaughter.we limited the boat and had 113 fish by 1pm{orl}.we stayed and played c&r till 2pm and headed in.one of the best jig bites i was ever part of or so i thought.sunday
we leave the dock at 5:45am and go right to were we had them the day before.
crew anchors up and the capt says "letem go" and i hooked up as soon as the jig hit the bottom.i turn around to say"one on" and two others are hooked up as well.it was by far the best bite i had ever seen.the tog were grabbing the jig
before it hit the bottom.by 9:30am we had our limit and had caught well over
160 fish.capt says since it only 9:30am there are a few spots out a little deeper he wanted to try just to see if the tog had move off,we said sure and off we went.
we anchor up and its lifeless for about 20 minutes and i get crushed and set the hook on a nice fat tog.two second later another hook up and it started all over again.we were releasing everything as we were boxed up already.we were back at the dock and had the truck loaded by 1:30 ready to head back.i have been to ri many times but this was best fishing i have ever seen up there.if anyone need any info just shoot me a pm.
