Well with the day off for Indigenous peoples day my better half & I went down to PPB for the night Sunday & hit the boardwalk & had a nice dinner before Devs first time going to the canal. We were donated crabs from Joey Z who always takes care of the less fortunate, may I add Devon is also Joey's fishing mentee........ so we hit a not so secret spot on the canal at about 9am & had pretty much consistent bites until we ran out of bait around noon. all shorts maybe a few 2001 keepers but lots of fun on the spining rods, I even jigged 1 on a rubber crab & thats why I am this sites Queen of Blackfish. Dev took a little while to get the bite down & much like her mentor blamed the bottom, the way i cut the crabs, the sinkers not being painted etc... so she definitely listening to her teacher :) did not see anything close to a keeper coming up but everyone was catching that i could see. also had a few left over puffers & loads of pin sea bass.
