Sunday aboard the Down Deep Bull, we ran another 6am Jumbo Porgy trip with a big crowd of great new and returning guys. Set the anchor and proceeded to have a great bite all around the boat with BIG SCUP pushing the three pound mark and other assorted bottom dwellers, some that went to table, others returned that were out of season, but no measurement required Scup that kept rods bouncing all day long. Everyone left with what they came for and stepped off the boat with all their bags of iced fillets without waiting around. The Porgy fishing has settled in real well locally and will be nice to have along with our upcoming Striped Bass trips which begin this Monday. Be prepared, there are Bass around.
