Thinking about trying to get out soon and do some crabbing. Haven't been in a few years and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to rent a boat. Thinking anywhere from Toms River area north but I am open to other suggestions.

Thanks Gerry, I'll check them out. Always willing to support the NJFishing.com sponsors!

I would stick to barnegat if were you. Shark river is not that great for crabbing and you'll catch more green and spider crabs then you will blue claws. I know we dont have sponsors that rent crabbing boats in barneget but you'll have a much better experience crabbing there.

There are tons of crabs in the Navesink and Shrewsbury. The bay right outside of where fisherman's dens norths boats are rented is loaded with crabs as well!!!

Nice boats but there are no crabs in Shark River. Was there today checking things out. Lots of small fluke.
