MISS BELMAR PRINCESS
Thursday night, we fished to the east and had great action with lots of jumbo knucklehead sea bass! There was excellent action all night as there were many limits caught of sea bass, along with a nice catch of ling and a few whiting. We had a nice suprorse on the way in as we watched 3 humpback whales swim around the boat for 20 minutes or so! Our pool winner was Randy Varona from Ewing, NJ.
Friday morning, we ran offshore along the edge of the mud hole. We started the small blues and bonito, with a few mackerel mixed in, right away. We stayed on the drift for a couple of hours picking with shots. We then made a move mid day on a report and had a nice shot of blues instantly, and then picked at the bonito the rest of the day. Overall, it was a great day with plenty of fish! Our pool winner was Mike Richman from Lawrenceville, NJ.
Saturday morning, we ran out east along the edge of the mud hole. Once again, we started the blues right away and stayed on the drift for over two hours picking with shots. There were lulls at times but overall it was fair fishing. We also started to see more bonito at the end of the day.
ROYAL MISS BELMAR
This morning, we started the day fluke fishing and ended up with a handful of keepers, along with some shorts. One patron caught 15 fluke, but only keeping his limits. We then went out for sea bass and had quite a drifts with good shots. Overall, it was a good day of fishing! We would like to thank Mark IV Transportation for joining us today. We had a great time fishing with you!
With all of this heat and humidity, both the Miss Belmar Princess and the Royal Miss Belmar have fully air conditioned cabins if you want to stay cool in this summer heat!
