What rod do you make that you would recommend for up there with the 20-24oz chicken rig setups they run in the deep water and heavy current?

Sorry didn't see this. The terminal weight value you describe 20-24 oz of lead requires a HEAVY ACTION. My recommendation is a 165 K jig blank or a 250 K. At 7' these rods start at $195 If you are a charter boat I would also give you a pro discount.
