Went fluking today, weather was beautiful after the heat wave and thunderstorms. Drifting south on the outgoing from the BB to the research buoy, we got a couple small weakfish and a keeper that was released, several small fluke plus 1 keeper, a sea robin, some small blues, and 4 crabs that seemed really into the gulp. Was using a mix of gulp and spearing on old school hi-lo rigs, chartreuse seemed to be the color.
Was also bucktailing while the bait was dragging, and only after putting the jigging rod in a holder to check the other one did I hook into something that felt pretty big. It didn't make it to the boat though, so it's only fodder for fish stories.
