Saturday afternoon, we fished a little bit further to the east. On the way out we talked to a couple of boats inshore and the sea bass fishing sounded slow so we went a little further off the beach to the ling grounds. We ended up in pretty good shape as we caught a lot of big ling and managed a nice little catch of sea bass as well. Other catches included tautog, which were released, as well as a couple big silver eels and a bunch of mackerel! Our pool winner was Bobby Birchenough from Ewing, NJ.
A great day was had by all Sunday morning! There was plenty of sea bass with ling and mackerel mixed in. We had a good showing of black tipped sharks around the boat at times, which we did hook up, and anglers had a great time fighting them. It was a great morning of fishing! We would like to thank Joe Palmisano and the IUOE Local 825 for joining us today. We had a great time fishing with all of you and hope to see you again soon! Our pool winner was a Lou Webber from Neptune, NJ.
Sunday afternoon, we had great fishing once again on the rocks and rubble. There were plenty of nice size sea bass and ling and it was a beautiful night out on the ocean. Our pool winner was Richard Schibell from Colts Neck, NJ.
This morning, we had yet another awesome day of fishing onboard the Miss Belmar Princess! We fished east of Shark River Inlet along the edge of the mud hole and had great action with mackerel, with small blues mixed in. There was plenty of sea bass and some ling on the bottom while we were anchored up chumming. Anglers also had action with the sharks towards the end of the day! Our pool winner was Franklin Asencio from Hatboro, PA.
With all of this heat and humidity, both the Miss Belmar Princess and the Royal Miss Belmar have fully air conditioned cabins if you want to stay cool in this summer heat!
The Miss Belmar Princess is sailing daily for blues, stripers and sea bass from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every afternoon for fluke & sea bass from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. & The Royal Miss Belmar is sailing daily for fluke and sea bass from 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
The Miss Belmar Princess is the largest, fastest and cleanest fishing boat in Belmar. With Miss Belmar's 3 engines and a total of 2,100 horsepower, she is the first boat to the fishing grounds every day and we guarantee it. No other boat comes close. Try us and you'll see why.
