Headed out for fluke sunday, for the first time since opening day weekend. we stopped on a couple of bay drifts but the NW wind was howling and we didn't even get a nibble. So we continued out to the ocean, where it was much calmer and started slinging some shorts into the boat. It was a fairly steady pick of fluke with some decent keeper seabass in the mix, but keeper fluke were a bit tough to come by :(
We ended up with a boat limit of seabass, 6 keeper fluke and dozens of 17-17.5" fluke out of over 60. They seemed to prefer chartreuse bucktail and teasers mostly and sometimes pink, no other color got hit. Bait rig with searobin slammed two keepers in the last hour of the day as well.
