So, after a month or so of get the boat ready to float this year, I finally got out this past Sunday. Since sea bass just closed, we decided to drift for fluke.
First went to the navy pier, found nothing but small dogfish and weekend warriors getting warned to move out of the restricted zone.
Made a move to Flynn's Knoll, found some of the biggest dogfish (4+ feet long) I've ever seen in the bay. After weeding through that, we started catch short fluke. Got about 2 dozen of those, start thinking of going in and bam, 2 keepers, 19" & 21".
Called it day and decided to hit the ramp before every else started parking their trailers sideways.
