Fished the inlet from the Pt. Pleasant side wall mid morning until noon, landed 10 short fluke.

Then later in the day my son Jason & I did a magic hour light tackle fluke/striper trip aboard a NS. Started off fluking and we boated @60 to #4. Once the sun got low, we switched gears and went out the hunt for stripers. Hit gold on our first spot as we got into a savage topwater bite with bass from 24-29”s. Landed 20 in just over a hour.

What you toss for the flatties?

When I fished the wall earlier in the day I was using killies

On the river, 1/2-1 ounce jig heads and or Spro tipped with a 4” GULP Swimming with a teaser hook 12-14 inches above also tipped with a 4” GULP above. Nuclear chicken on the teaser or jig was hot as was a white Spro with a pink GULP.

Oh and a Heddon Zara Spook (color didn’t matter) was the ticket for the stripers.
