With Sea Bass season closing this Saturday and Fluke fishing being slow what is your game plan?

Sunnies, rock bass, yellow perch, maybe a smallmouth or two.. We have a nice clean lake up here {Skaneateles] that has nice big panfish that are never muddy or "weedy" tasting.. Lot less money than salt water for me, and every bit as much fun with light fresh water tackle.. I will always like salt water fishing WAY better, its in my blood, but the rides down and back are starting to be tough on this old fat body... bob

I’m guessing ling and winter flounder for me. I’m thinking about getting in one last sea bass trip on Saturday, but honestly with nice weather predicted, the party boats will be packed.
I just know that while ling fishing, I will be pulling up massive biscuits, and crying as I return them to the water.
Praying for another great porgy season this year.

Heard some talk of some porgies being caught the other day! As for me I will continue bottom fishing as long as someone is running for Ling! :)

Fluke. One week in June to catch the biggest for the monthly pool in Brielle and win free fishing for a year! If a 2 pounder takes it so be it. Good luck with your ling.

Fluke!!! My Bro in Law and nephew were in the port monmouth area last night and the peanuts were everywhere, casted a 1/2 oz bucktails with white gulp and had fluke from 12 to 18 inches almost every damn cast. Stood there shaking my head while they are bailing fish in 4 feet of water. Here i am blaming global warming, to much rain, cold water and everything else discussed while a 7 year old has his limit in 30 mins 10 feet from shore. Find the bait and you find the fish.

And after that it'll be out to the blue water for our finny friends that'll be waiting for us...;););)
