I'm going to start coming down a few Tuesday nights and was wondering if any surf sharkers can team-up to shoot the $h!t and and help each other land fish. And take pics too. Looking to fish from 7pmish to minnight, one, whatever. Willing to drive anywhere from IBSP to Cape May depending on where you or the sharks are. Shooting to start Tues July 2nd on the new moon. All my fishing buddies either have to work early Wed, can't get away from their significant others or just aren't into it. PM me with your phone number if you might be around this summer.
Thanks,
Mark

Normally get into this in about 1 month from today, through august...i havent had the BEST luck sharking from the beach but have landed a few 3-5' sand tigers. What i find to be more fun is when we get BIG rays off the beach, not cownose...roughtail and butterly...those things can put up a long fight and getting them on the beach is normally very challenging...they turn into a huge suction cup. Really powerful fish, just long hard pulls.

Hey thanks man, and yeah anything you catch off the beach that puts up a fight is cool in my book. Some small sand tigers and brown sharks are starting to hit the sand in Brigantine. I figure another couple weeks and the willingness to drive a little further South might work out. I've always done better the further South I've gone. Always struggled a bit on IBSP but we're whaled on them on LBL south of Ship Bottom.

I'd like to do it off of Monmouth Beach (Shrewsbury Rocks). That might be too far north for you. I'm off on Wednesdays so Tuesday evenings work great for me. I'm going to use my drone to fly baits out far and drop them well beyond casting distance. Some people kayak their baits out. Let me know. I'm not willing to travel. Live 5 minutes from Monmouth Beach.

To follow up on this, I was chunking for bass yesterday morning 3:30-7:30am.. no bass but had a hit that was super powerful and cut through my 80lb floro leader like butter. About an hour later hooked into a massive rough tail ray that took me close to an hour to get to the wash... couldn’t get it out of the trough due to lack of wave momentum but the thing was absolutely huge, probably 10’ from head to end of tail.

Just started to really fish for them last year and only started to get the hang of it towards the end. x2 on the rays- sometimes they pull harder than some of the sharks! Always down to hit the surf and PM me if ya want a bud- Im based out of Toms River but willing to travel a bit.
