The weather really could not have been nicer today with calm winds and a flat ocean. Right off the bat this morning we managed to put a fat 30 lb. STRIPER in the boat. That was the only BASS that we saw and the BLUEFISH were scarce too so we went SEA BASS fishing on the inshore spots since having a STRIPER on board kept us within 3 miles of the beach. The SEA BASS wound up being scarce as well.
The pool today went to Joe Richard, from Warwick, NY with a decent size SEA BASS, and the big STRIPER was caught by Allen Hopkins from Reading, PA. on his first ever fishing trip! Nice going Allen!
The GOLDEN EAGLE sails every day for STRIPERS & BLUES at 7:30 am from Belmar Marina in Belmar, NJ.
