Funny you should say that , I just had a cap done and I talked to my dentist throughout the whole procedure . Current wife asks how did you do that ???
You just dont shut the Fudge Up ? - hence the name current wife , she is currently training and almost down to divorce weight

And everyone will wonder why there is 1 guy fishing by himself talking to his cooler, boots , backpack and bait - Thats Me - just follow the noise

With Fin Reaper Joining the crew add plastic bags, rope and sponge bob to the list of species being caught , if its on the bottom , he will find it , snag it or goonie - goo goo - Gus

Only 33 people fluke fish in New Jersey, find that hard to believe. Where are all these "wonder rig" folks? They seem to talk a good game but can they walk the walk against some of the greatest jig fisherman? Sign up and lets find out.

Here is the skinny gents:
Boat costs $3500.00
Proper Tip 20% would be $700.00
$4200 boat costs

Lunch, water etc averages over the years another $400.00 or $10.00 PP
So $4600.00
Paypal takes $3.78 off every sign up also

So Trip was based on 40 @ $120 = $4800 leaving a paltry $200.00 minus paypal fees to RFA plus raffles and 50/50

As you can see this is NOT a winner for RFA-NJ but I do it every year to try and help us recreational fishermen and we usually have a great time. Could use 10 more but if not I will pick up the tab and donate the remaining spots to Wounded Warriors and a Take a Kid fishing group. However it would be nice to just fill the trip and donate to those groups as well
.
Worse case we could ditch lunch and you bring your own saving 3 -4 spots.

Either way we will SAIL with the same guys that step up every year !

Dave thank you and the RFA for your combined efforts coordinating this trip all these years and on-going efforts representing the recreational fishing community. I don't think any of us realize the time and effort involved putting these trips together so again thanks for all your hard work. As far as lunch, I never expected lunch and I think everyone in my group is planning on bringing something so no big deal for us if it's "bring your own". I'll bring some Sloppy Joe sandwiches again for the boat. All about supporting the cause and having a good day on the water with friends.

Gdubs-

That's funny but true! Yesterday was the June full moon, should bring a new body of fish in. Air temperatures forecast for 70's and 80's next two weeks, water temps should warm a bit. If someone knows where the shut off valve is for this frigging rain, would appreciate using it!

Never know unless you have a line in the water. If by chance fishing is picky, Dave's going to give a seminar on techniques to catch silver eels and how to get your line caught in the boats props........all free of charge:>)

Not easy especially when fishing in the bow but I certainly will share the "PROP"er techniques.
1) Your arms are tired from bailing keeper seabass to help those less talented in your group so you target prop or eel fish so you can take a break while the mate re rigs you!

2) Just wait for the boat to back up on the spot , turn to bust Larry Hartattack who is already tangled or YOU TOM, or ask Duff to move but he is listening to Boston Bruins Cult messages on ear buds so cant hear you and you are in the prop.

3) For Silver or Conger eels, imagine a huge seabass or cod bite and get disappointed by the eel. Really pretty simple stuff

Anyone wanna do a high roller pool?? $20 buy in? Or we could do $10? Heaviest single FLUKE takes it all home plus the bragging rights!!:D

Rules

1. Heaviest FLUKE wins.

2. Only 1 line in the water at a time.

3. If there are 2 fish that are very close in weight they will be weighed at the dock.

4. Bait, jigs, crazy rigs from japan, wonder if its gonna work rigs, etc. All fair game.

5. If case of a tie the pot will be split equally.

6. To keep it fair and honest the crew will handle it. Collect the money and weigh the fish with THEIR scale.

7. You will get a zip tie with a number. This number will correspond with your name when you pay. Keep this with you and at the end of the trip attach that to your largest FLUKE and get it weighed in.

8. Winner takes all.

9. Use any cut bait you desire but make sure to keep it legal! Remember its BYOB.

10. Last. Keep it fun. This is a great trip with a great group of people. So lets just have a good time!!

Rocky......look forward to the trip and actually meeting. Have had virtual exchanges but will be good to meet in person. Think it's going to be a good trip, great captain and crew, weather seems to be setting up nicely and some new fish seem to be moving in. Going to be a blast, look forward to seeing everyone on the boat.

Jeff hopefully most in our group will join the $20 pool. assume we can discuss it at the boat. I know my son and I are definitely in, have to believe most in my party will roll the dice as well. Adds to the suspense and ball busting that will ensue!

Ok, I'm ready. This will be a great time as the fluke have really started to chew. Just wish we could have filled the trip, but that gives us room to mug. See you Saturday.

Getting down to the wire here :D Great crew as always and looking forward to it.
Some trip notes:
1) BE AT THE BOAT NO LATER THAN 6AM . We can get out once everyone is on board. If you are running late call my cell 973-479-7768
Looks like a little more wind Sat than the last few days SW 10-15 so maybe we have a drift.

2) Remember we were light on attendance
Got just the boat and crew trip covered so its Bring your own Lunch, drinks what ever you need. Going to be hot so Fluids:cool:
If you are NOT going because its RFA based trip post your complaint as many on here are very good at or PM me or call me. Be happy to hear you out.

3) Raffle and 50/50 tickets will be the same as always $20.00 per strip of 12 tickets. Cash ONLY Some nice raffle prizes see page 1.

4) Jeff Saltlife POOL heaviest FLUKE ONLY. Details on board.
FYI as a charter we don't count in the Fisherman monthly pool even if you are in it already your fish on Saturday doesn't count. Capt's rules so zero debate period.

5) Its Larry Hartattacks BIRTHDAY SAT:D. Mazel Tov / Happy B day Larry so ride him like a broken donkey you rented at the Grand Canyon to make him feel "special"
Larry I bought you a spool less reel, very quiet , doesn't catch much but guaranteed not to tangle!

6) Still some spots and if you want to bring any kids 8 to 15 , sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, neighbors etc let me know tomorrow. ITS my treat . Lets get kids fishing! I reached out to both wounded warriors and heros on the water to take 3-5 vets but nothing firm back yet.

Let me know if you need anything else
Dave

Your hard work is appreciated sir. Very few people will put forth the effort that you did even if it is for a good cause but, you did. Kudos to you sir!

Dave thanks for your persistence putting this together. You'd be the last to admit it but it takes a lot of time and coordination pulling these trips off. Thanks for your effort putting tomorrow's trip together and thanks for yours and Capt. Ron's on-going efforts to help the recreational fishing community and other organizations including the two mentioned above.

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Thanks guys. I actually enjoy putting these together and more so when everyone has the great time we always do fish or not! Wish I didnt have to sweat out the numbers but it is what it is
Going to be a beautiful day out there tomorrow and hopefully the few more knots in the wind will get us the drift we need because there are fish around.

Maybe the karma for all who step up and contribute is on our side. See you MANIACS in the AM.

Dont forget to stop by Pete's Atlantic Bait and Tackle for your Stuff!

There are breakfast sandwiches available at the dock for a cost if you need. Or Slaters on your way in. Jeff Saltlife neither is open at 1AM when i expect you will be carving out your spot.

Maybe i will reinstall the boarding order from the bottom of the list UP LOL:p

This trip is going to be awesome!!! Let’s go boys! I’m as ready as I can be! See all of you bright and early!!! Buncha hacks!!! LOL! Look at me talking trash, HAHA, I don’t even know what a fish is right now.............:D

P.S. Watch out for my son Chase, I taught him how to take gulp out of other peoples tackle boxes. Hehe! And he’ll have his safety scissors in his pocket just in case one of you guys get out of line........

You superstar jigging guys need to stay away from me because I will be dragging bait all day. I honestly don't know where us bait guys got such a bad rap but, I work it. I feel the bite and I drop back and tease the fluke until his head explodes and he commits suicide at the end of my line.

Hopefully everyone shows up on time and we put a respectable beating on these flatties.

See you all in the a.m. :)
