Manasquan River 5/2

Received a tip last night that blues were being caught at one of my favorite spots on the Manasquan River. Arrived around 8 this morning just after high tide. Had my first blue within 10 minutes but had the hooks pull 10’ from me. Had my second strike 20 minutes later but once again the hooks pulled before I could land it. Oh well, both put up good fights and both would have been released even if they were landed. Saw 2 other blues to @#8 caught as well as a short bass and short fluke. Both my bites came on a SP minnow

6 pm and that stretch if the river is packed as the fog rolls in. Was wondering if it was bass it blues. Thanks for the report.
