My First Trip Was An Open Boat Trip On 3/28 Which Was A Redfish Trip

Fishing was Fantastic considering tere were 60 People On Boa.Captain Phil Eastman and crew of 5 Mates

Average Red Fish catches were from 25 to 60 Reds per angler. Plenty of Throwback Haddock (OUT OF SEASON) and lots of Cod and Wolf Fish as well (Cant keep those ether) Some big Cusk retained

4/12 Fishing Report

This was a 6 Pack Charter I had with Captain Nate On The Annie B with SEVERAL NJFISHING.COM members joining me. Thank you Anthony Chinni and your group for joining me.

We left the dock at 4 AM. First hump we tried was barren and Captain Nate went searching. It was game on from the 2nd drop and the 3rd. Although this was a scheduled 10 to 12 Hour trip the crew cried uncle after about 9 hours from catching non stop for almost 4 hours and we went in early with over 700 Tastey Red Fish

4/18 Group Charter - Captain Nate Annie B - Six Pack

Due to incredible tide swings we left the dock in the dark at 3 AM. On this trip we had NJFISHING.COM member Captain Bob Morill

First Mixed Bag Trip Of The Year

Great Fishing For Haddock - Legal limit 12 Per Angler Minimum size 17 inches. Excellent Haddock fishing but mostly small keepers 17 to 19 inch fish with the big ones only pushing 5 lbs

EASY LIMIT of Haddock with a surprise showing of 16 Keeper Pollock

Then we went for Red Fish and LOADED up with over 300 Reds till we called it a day early

Received these pictures from Captain Tory on open boat Lady Audrey Mae. When I received these they were on their first stop and nice sized Haddock coming up at a good pace according to Tory. Most anglers had 2 to 4 each in first half hour

Spoke to Tory not long ago. The boat limited fishing around 200 feet to answer the question

That is a Rod Geeks 733 cut down a little. Light as a feather. Can handle up to 12 ounces of lead easily built by a gentleman from Brooklyn named Ralph

4/28 Marathon On Lady Merilee Ann

45 Anglers with most limiting out (( 12 Haddock Per Angler )) Biggest 7 Lbs also a VERY good showing of 5 to 7 Lb Pollock with approximately 250 Pollock most caught on bait but some to Jigs

Trips this Thursday and Friday on Big Boat

I have trips this Thursday and Friday with Lady Merilee

I had a back to back Marathon with a totol of 26 Anglers including me.

Thursday trip we had 8 to 12 keeper Haddock per person with about half the anglers getting their 12 fish limit

Lots of Big Red Fish 15 to 40 per Angler and 3 to 8 keeper Pollock per Angler

Lots of 5 to 25 lb Cod that we are not allowed to retain

Fridays trip was a SLAM

Everyone had their Haddock Limit

15 to 25 Nice Reds Per person

Excellent Pollock fishing with some anglers with as many as 25 keepers

Pollock mostly 3 to 8 lb fish

Absolute Slam

Full limits of Haddock, lots of Pollock and Red Fish, too many nice sized Cod to mention that we are not allowed to keep, some big Cudk and 5 Nice Sized Wolf Fish that had to be returned

I had a 5/9 Group Charter with Captain Nate and it was a true SLAM FEST

We decided to raise the Haddock size limit from 17 to 19 inches

We left the dock at 5 Am and started fishing at 7:15

By 10 AM we were limited on 19 inch to 25 inch Haddock

Then we caught loads of Big Redfizh along with 30 Small but legal Pollock

All in all another spectacular day with Captain Nate @ Eastmans

Lots of Cod from 5 to 17 lbs returned

Before he dropped the first anchor, Nate told us we would be throwing back 17 & 18" fish and we still hit the limit by around 10:00.

Marc is the master of the 7 hook red fish rig. Had at least 3 Septuple headers and several Sextuple headers!
